S+W Favorites: Weekender bags. one / two / three / four / five / six / seven / eight / nine
My teenage self called this my ‘sports bag’. It was adidas and full of volleyball kneepads, cucumber melon body mist, and so many granola bars.
My slightly-older-early-twenties self called this my ‘duffle bag’. It was floral print, probably free from spending a certain amount at Victoria Secret, and filled to the brim with overnight stuff for out-of-town weddings.
My now-more-grown-up-adult self calls this my ‘weekender bag’. It’s canvas and full of bathing suits and gray t-shirts and jeans for Up North (but still lots of snacks).
During the summer months, I live for weekends. My weekender bag is at the ready; always packed and sitting by my closet door.
Weekender bags are essentially duffle bags with the perfect amount of room for everything you need for a (hopefully long) weekend away. I can typically fit three or four outfits, a sweater, a few swimsuits, two pairs of shoes, and all of my toiletries/bathroom items.
This is one of those items you’ll use over and over and over again. Invest in one that has a classic shape and made from quality material (read: not one you get for free at Victoria Secret) and it will last you years!
