And so begins another week… I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Here’s been my inspiration lately:
making: May Day mini bouquets out of tulips, hyacinth, and one of my favorite flower hacks, asparagus.
eating: homemade pizza! Fridays equal pizza in our house. I loaded mine with tomato sauce, asiago cheese, prosciutto, dollops of cream cheese, chorizo, green peppers, and mushrooms all on naan bread (in the frozen section of your grocer). Throw the toppings on and bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 min.
obsessing: over this matte lip crayon. I’m not a big make up person. I usually throw on mascara and call it good, but I got this a few months ago in my ipsy bag and cannot stop. It doesn’t feel like lip stick or even chapstick, you literally can’t feel it, but it makes an impact and just looks pretty.
starting: to wake up an hour early. I’ve heard it’s good for the soul… I’m so far not convinced.
buying: beer. haha. The older Willy gets, the harder it is to get out and about, so sometimes that means getting creative and bringing the party home like with a DIY beer tasting. Next time you’re at the liquor store, buy a few random beers (the individual bottles) you haven’t tried. Once the kiddos are sleeping, pour some sample sizes, get some pretzels and find a new favorite.
reading: The Ice Cream Queen of Orchard Street. So far, the characters are great and the story line inspiring.
meal planning: Stuffed Shells | Wild Rice Chicken Salad | Brats on the Grill | Tacos with plenty of Guacamole for Cinco de Mayo
willy’s: obsessed with movies. We had our first movie night this weekend complete with popcorn and The Good Dinosaur. William watched THE ENTIRE THING! He laughed at the funny parts, gasped at the scary parts, and even clapped when it was over.
dreaming: about a vacation. Any vacation.
