It’s official. Today is the first day of fall and I know I’m not alone when I say YAB-A-DAB-A-DOO! After all, Google making a logo of squirrels and squash to celebrate the occasion = big deal. Even before pumpkin lattes and riding boots were a thing, I’ve always loved this time of year. (Yes, you may call me the OG of Fall Lovin’ if you really want to)
When I was younger it was because I got new school supplies and my birthday was right around the corner. During college it meant moving back to the small river town I called home for nine months and reuniting with my frans. And today, call it an ode to preparing for hibernation, but the cooler, crisp weather instills a need to fill the calendar with activities before the winter weather settles in.
It also still totally means new clothes and supplies…. not to mention the best sales of the season. This fall has me craving merlots, emerald greens, mustard yellow, suede, ankle booties and of course sweaters. All pair well with pumpkin spice anything obvi. Happy Fall y-all!
These pixie pants for $29?! That’s a steal.
Sweet Paul is a magazine you’ll keep for ever and reference over and over. It’s always full of inspiration and a fun purchase every now and again.
A pouch that holds my ipad and a few essentials is my favorite kind of carry(f)all.
A little on the spendy side, but OH SO georgous. Also perfect for transitioning some of your summer pieces to fall.
I love this shirt not only because it’s plaid, but also because it pairs well with my favorite fall colors.
This watch has been on my Amazon wish list for.eva. To pull the trigger or not to pull the trigger…
I fell in love with sweater dusters in the 5th grade looking at a JC Penny catalog. I love them. Easy to dress up or down and are so much more dramatic than other cardigans. They come around “in style” every five years or so, but are always in in my style book. Try this one from Forever 21 for a clean look that doesn’t add bulk, but gives you that warm, cozy feel (and at the right price).
Target is the best place to buy socks. Hands down. From cute and quirky in the dollar section to these classic cold weather favorites.
Booties and I have a love hate relationship. At 5’2”, I’m
on the shorter side short as he** and if the boots go too high up my ankle, they look so strange with my skinny jeans that scrunch at my ankle. These ankle booties are perfect because they literally go to my ankle allowing my jeans to lay how they’re supposed to lay and the boot to be how it’s supposed to be.
